Celebrating Our Highly Qualified Staff
As the Fort Madison Community School District continues to plan ways to meet the learning needs of ALL students, we have increased our expectations for classroom associates who are a huge part of our students’ learning environment. Our paraeducators are now asked to provide evidence of one of the following credentials:
- an associates degree
- at least two years of college credits
- a Paraeducator endorsement from the Board of Educational Examiners
- a score of at least a bronze level on the National Career Readiness Certificate
Our paraeducator group began the year with only 10% of this group holding these credentials and the Fort Madison Community School District is happy to announce today, 100% of our full-time, non-probationary classroom associates have achieved this designation!
We are so proud of their efforts to continue to learn and grow and want to thank them for their dedication to provide the best education we can for all of our students.
