FMHS Students Donate +600 Jars of Peanut Butter

Fort Madison High School Principal, Greg Smith, is always looking for ways to get involved with the community. Recently, he held a school-wide peanut butter collection. This collection was donated to a local food pantry. Peanut butter was the food of choice, because of it’s nutritional value and shelf life.

Mr. Smith gave students one week to bring in their jars of peanut butter. To spice things up, the class that brought in the most jars was promised a pizza party.

Pictured above is the winning class, Mr. Kobelt’s construction class. His class wheeled in 238 jars!

As a student body, the students were able to collect and donate over +600 jars of peanut butter. It was inspiring to watch the students come together and make a difference.
