Ms. Reu's class experiments with Coke and Mentos!

These second graders at Richardson Elementary gathered to witness and experience what would be the end result when mixing Coke and Mentos. The students were astonished to see how far the reaction would launch their rocket into the air. 

The candy’s hard coating causes it to rapidly produce gas on the surface when exposed to carbonated beverages. In return, it causes an eruption of soda out of the bottle!
