At the end of last school year we told you about a new App called Here Comes the Bus. After lots of tweaking and testing we we are officially rolling it out to our parents today.
What Is Here Comes the Bus?
Here Comes the Bus is an easy-to-use website and mobile device app that enables parents and caregivers to view the real-time location of their child’s school bus on a computer, tablet, or smartphone. In addition, email alerts and push notifications help parents send their students to the bus stop at just the right time.
This application can be viewed on any smartphone (Apple iPhone, Samsung Galaxy, BlackBerry, and so on) by entering the student’s ID and an account number provided by the school district. You may go to the official help forum by clicking on help.herecomesthebus.com.
What Can Here Comes the Bus do?
• View the real-time location of your child’s bus
• Know when and where your child boards or exits the bus
• Access the app from your smartphone, tablet or computer
• Receive push notifications and/or email alerts
How Do I Get Started?
- Download the Here Comes the Bus app or visit
herecomesthebus.com - Click the ‘Sign Up’ button
- Enter school code 29141 and click “Next” followed by
“Confirm” - Complete the “User Profile” box
- Under “My Students,” click “Add.” Enter your child’s last name
and student ID number - Once you confirm your information, you’re ready to begin
using Here Comes the Bus.
