Ms. Benner is a 6th grade science and social studies teacher at FMMS. She has her BA from Simpson College and Masters from Viterbo University in Elementary Education. Previously she taught at Jefferson Elementary for one year, but she has been at the Middle School since then!
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and being outdoors. Her favorite book is “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” and her favorite movie is “A Charlie Brown Christmas”. Her favorite vacation was when she was young and her family went to Yellowstone National Park and the Grand Canyon. Her favorite restaurant is La Tavola. Something you may not know about her is that she loves listening to podcasts.
Currently in her class, the students are learning about body systems and how they interact with each other. Ms. Benner’s goal for the end of the year is to continue to get to know and build relationships with her amazing group of students. Ms. Benner sees all of her students learning to be mindful through PACK and it is a positive thing at FMMS.
