Potato Pants at Lincoln

The Lincoln library has been reading a selection of books designed to tie in with PBIS and promote good behavior. This week during Library Special with Ms. Puga, students at Lincoln Elementary grades K-3 read the book Potato Pants by Laurie Keller.

In the book, Lance Vance Fancy Pants Store is having a sale on potato pants. Our main character is excited to buy a pair until he sees the eggplant that pushed him into a trash can the day before. He grows increasingly frustrated as he tries to avoid and outwait the eggplant so he can go into the store.

Meanwhile, all the cool pants are being sold! The story teaches students how to deal with frustration and how to resolve conflict. After the story, students became fashion designers and made potato pants for some lucky little taters.
