FM Elementary Schools participate in Read Across America Week

Fort Madison Elementary students participated in Read Across America Week! Monday Students dressed up for their future occupations – we had astronauts, doctors, police officers and more! Tuesday students wore their class colors! Wednesday was wacky Wednesday and students created pet’s for the the Dr. Seuss books “What Pet Should I Get?” and “If I Ran The Zoo”.  Thursday was Pajama Day! Friday was Cat in the Hat day!

Ms. King at Lincoln Elementary ended Read Across America Week with a school assembly and read “The Sneetches”.  The Sneetches teaches a good lesson about kindness and treating everyone fair and equal! The week was a  fun way to celebrate and incorporate learning as well!
