FMCSD Board Hears About Return To Learn Planning Status

The Fort Madison Community School District Board of Directors received an update regarding the Iowa Department of Education’s Return to Learn plans required by all Iowa school districts July 1, 2020.

The process includes six work groups of administrators, teachers, instructional coaches, counselors, social workers and nursing staff to plan for the three potential scenarios for returning to learning in the Fall as presented by the Iowa Department of Education:  100% on-line;  face to face or a combination of both learning models.

All Iowa school districts will receive updates from the Iowa Department of Education, the CDC and the Iowa Department of Public Health throughout the summer in order to determine Fall 2020 plans.
