Ms. Sourwine previously worked as an engineer in Arkansas. She also worked as a substitute teacher in the Ames area. Ms. Sourwine wants to make it through the other side happy and healthy this year. Her goal for her students is “to provide stability, a safe space, and someone who can make math not so hard.”

The smaller class sizes have really allowed me to get meaningful interaction with nearly every student who is here every day. I’m excited to have the opportunity to grow these relationships.

What is Your Favorite Thing About Your Job/District?

I love seeing student growth from freshman to senior year. A lot happens and they will remember it as one of the best times of their lives and I’m honored to be a part of that.
