Meet Tonya Campbell – Richardson Elementary

Tonya Campbell is a Developmental Preschool Teacher at Richardson Elementary. Originally, Ms. Campbell was born and raised in Fort Madison, IA. She attended the University of Iowa to receive her bachelors. Ms. Campbell’s degree is in Early Childhood Education.

In her free time, Tonya Campbell enjoys spending time with friends and family. She also enjoys traveling. Her favorite book is Pete the Cat. Additionally, her favorite movie is The Notebook. Ms. Campbell’s favorite t.v. show is The Bachelor/The Bachelorette. Also, her favorite food is Mexican food. Additionally, the best vacation she went on was to Myrtle Beach in South Carolina.

Ms. Campbell reads her students a story!

Currently in the classroom, they are getting ready to start a pet study using the preschool creative curriculum. “My goal for my students is to get them ready for kindergarten. Some will be leaving me at the end of this year to go to kindergarten,” said Ms. Campbell. Also, she is excited to be face-to-face with her students.

What Is Your Favorite Thing About Your Job/ The District?

“It’s like a dream come true to be teaching back in the district where I grew up. I love watching my students learn and grow together,” said Ms. Campbell.
