Meet Jennifer LaFrenz – Richardson Elementary

Jennifer LaFrenz is a Special Education teacher at Richardson Elementary. Originally, Ms. LaFrenz is from Wyaconda, Missouri. She attended Culver Stockton College as well as William Woods University. Her degrees are in Elementary Education and she has her master’s degree in Elementary Administration K-12 Instructional Strategist.

Ms. LaFrenz works on curriculum.

In her free time, Ms. LaFrenz enjoys working on her farm, gardening, hunting, fishing, and tractor pulling. Her favorite vacation is going to Daytona Beach. Additionally, Ms. LaFrenz enjoys a variety of music. She doesn’t care much for t.v. or movies. Also, her favorite book is Boundaries by Henry Cloud & John Townsend.

Currently in her classroom, the students are working on IEP goals and making it as enjoyable and relevant as possible. A personal goal for herself is to start learning sign language formally by the end of the year. Also, a goal for her students is to continue improving in their goal areas and participating more in general education. Additionally, Ms. LaFrenz is very excited about the Richardson PTO working with them to improve the sensory room at Richardson Elementary.

What Is Your Favorite Thing About Your Job/The District?

“I absolutely love my job!  I love working with my students and interacting with others in the building. Fort Madison School has been very welcoming to me and supportive of my growth as an educator. I appreciate the investment that has been made in my life by this district and my fellow educators,” said Ms. LaFrenz.
