Meet Michelle Jeffries – Fort Madison Middle School

Michelle Jeffries is a 7/8 grade English teacher at the Fort Madison Middle School. Originally, she is from West Burlington, Iowa. Ms. Jeffries attended the University of Iowa to get her English and secondary education degree. Additionally, she previously taught one year at Horace Mann Middle School before it burned down.

In her free time, Ms. Jeffries enjoys reading running 5k’s, traveling, and spending time with her family. Her favorite book is Summer Sisters by Judy Blume. Ms. Jeffries enjoyed her vacation to Honolulu, Hawaii the best. Her favorite movie is The Princess Bride. In addition, her favorite t.v. show is Big Little Lies. Her favorite food is movie theater popcorn. Brittany Spears is her favorite artist.

Currently in her classroom, the seventh graders are studying Harlem Renaissance and the eighth graders are learning about food choices. Ms. Jeffries’ goal for her students is to be happy and successful in their future endeavors. The most exciting part of this school year is continuing to build relationships with her students.
