FMCSD Introduces New JUMPSTART Program

FMCSD students in grades K-9 will soon have the opportunity to participate in the JUMPSTART program. This FMCSD program is during the first two weeks of August.  Students will be able to jump back into the school day routine, review skills learned in past curriculum, and learn the foundation of team building. Students will also gain skills in Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math while exploring some of the great organizations that Fort Madison has to offer.

Housed within the Fort Madison Community Middle School, the JUMPSTART program has 3 cohorts for students: Grades K-3, Grades 4-6 and Grades 7-9.  Each program will have a daily curriculum that is appropriate for the age groups.  They will be able to learn new skills, review old skills, and have fun with their classmates in an educational setting! The school district has partnered with local community organizations to administer programs not found in our normal curriculum.

Students enrolled in JUMPSTART will start their program days at 8:30 AM and will end their program day at 3:30 PM.  The youngest cohort (Grades K-3) will end their program day at 11:30 AM, with lunch available for all students from 11:30-12. District transportation will also be available for students.

Interested families should complete the Online registration form by July 23, 2021.
