Career & Technical Education
Welcome to the Career and Technical Education Page!
Career & Technical Education (CTE) is where learning meets doing. In our CTE Classes, you won’t just study concepts, you’ll apply them in real-world situations, using hands-on skills that can lead directly to college, careers, or both. Whether you’re interested in health science, welding, construction, business, agriculture, automotive engineering, or digital marketing, CTE gives you the tools to explore your passions, discover your strengths, and prepare you for the future.
CTE isn’t just a one-size-fits-all path, it’s about giving you options and opportunities to earn industry certifications, complete internships, and even get a head start for college or apprenticeships while you’re still in high school. Our Instructors help build relationships with our students and help students build the confidence, responsibility, problem-solving, strong leadership, and pride in all the work that the students accomplish.
Fort Madison Junior/Senior High CTE is always looking to get more involved with the community and local businesses. If you are interested in partnering with us or looking to get more involved please contact Stacy Lumbeck, CTE Advisor at (319) 372-1862 or via email at stacy.lumbeck@fmcsd.org.
Partnering and getting involved with the FMJSH CTE Programs offers industry partners a unique opportunity to collaborate in developing skilled, future-ready students while fostering a strong pipeline of talent tailored to meet workforce needs.
