Non-Discrimination Policy

Students, parents, employees, volunteers and others doing business with or performing services for the Fort Madison Community School District are hereby notified that this school district does not tolerate any form of discrimination. Pursuant to Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, and other applicable state and federal laws, the Fort Madison Community School District and its Board of Directors does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, disability, religion, creed, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, or genetic information (for employment) in any of its education programs, activities, or employment opportunities. 


The school district has in place a grievance procedure to process any complaints regarding the school district’s compliance with this policy and/or with federal or state laws. The Fort Madison Community School District offers career and technical programs in the following service areas: 

Program offerings and areas of study are defined as the six service areas: 
• Agricultural, Food, and Natural Resources 
• Applied Science, Technology, Engineering, and Manufacturing
• Business, Finance, Marketing, and Management
