Open Enrollment
Iowa Open Enrollment law allows parents/guardians to enroll their child into a school district other than the district they reside in. An open enrollment application must be completed for each individual child. The open enrollment application can be found at the "Open Enrollment Application" link below.
During the 2024 Legislative Session, the State of Iowa made a change to the Open Enrollment Deadline. For the 2024-2025 school year, the Open Enrollment Application deadline is June 30, 2024. For the 2025-26 school year and beyond, the deadline will be March 1, 2025.
You will need to print and fill out the Open Enrollment Application below and return to the Fort Madison Central Office building at 1930 Avenue M Fort Madison, IA 52627. Call 319-372-7252 for any questions regarding open enrollment.
