Job Shadow January - Superintendent's Office
Public speaking is definitely an art...and one that, in my current job, I have to do fairly often. However, it does not involve doing so during a fast-paced basketball game. Name pronunciations, announcing jersey numbers hidden by ponytails, fouls made, baskets scored, points earned, etc.
I recently job shadowed the voice of the Bloodhounds, Mike Rieck at a recent girls varsity basketball game. Mike confers with FMHS staff and coaches for not only game introductions but time out and quarter-end announcements that promote FMHS and the District. I was honored to introduce our starting line up and navigate my way through the fourth quarter action!
Our girls secured the win....and I managed to not mess up too often! I don't think I'll quit my day job, however. Mike Rieck is a great voice for the Bloodhounds!
