Technology

Fort Madison Community School District is committed to advancing the integration of technology into teaching and learning. This includes developing and supporting the required infrastructure, hardware, software, and professional development. Our goals are to improve student academic achievement through technology literacy and to improve the capacity of all teachers to integrate technology effectively into curriculum and instruction.

Tablets

Students in grades 1 and 2 have access to their own tablet.

Chromebooks

Students from grades 3-12 have access to their own chromebook.

High School 1:1 Participation Documents for 2018/2019 School Year

Dear Fort Madison High School Students, Parents, and Guardians

We are pleased to announce the continuation of the 1-1 Chromebook initiative.

As part of our 1:1 initiative the Fort Madison Community School District (FMCSD)  provides each student who is actively enrolled at Fort Madison High School a Chromebook as well as related peripherals including case, and charger.

High School students may opt to bring their own device to school and connect to our BYOD network. The below forms do not need to be signed in a student brings his or her own device to school and does not participate in the 1:1 program. 

Checklist:

  • Read the Chromebook Care and use Policy Guide 18/19
  • Print, read, and sign the High School Chromebook 1:1 Agreement 18/19 form.
  • Print, read, and fill out the Chromebook Voluntary Insurance for 2018-2019 School Year form (OPTIONAL)
  • Return filled out forms to High School Media Center by 8/31/2018
